As of 15 April, further amendments to the Law of Georgia on Labour Migration have been introduced. The changes refine the scope of the law, expand the list of exceptions, and further specify the requirements related to obtaining a work permit. The amendments also define new cases in which certain obligations will not apply to foreign nationals, and clarify the concept of short-term professional activity, among other matters.

The main changes in the field of labour migration entered into force on 1 March 2026, while the 15 April amendments provide additional clarification of certain provisions, making their practical application more precise.
