Course Description

This International Financial Reporting Standards course covers the fundamental principles of financial reporting. The course presents the curriculum of core financial reporting and accounting standards (IFRS & IAS).                                             

Proper decision-making process requires that an accountant / financial manager do their work in full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards. The course is designed to help students look at practical examples and stay on right track when it comes to making decisions. The course therefore covers theoretical as well as practical aspects of the study material.

Course Objectives and Outcomes

Objective

The course aims to supply students with practical and theoretical knowledge on the subject to apply with real operations. Case analysis and sharing of experience will also specifically help students to develop practical skills.

After the training students will be able to:

Course Duration

The course starts at the beginning of October and ends in early December. Lectures will last 2,5 hours (with ten-minute break) and will be conducted twice a week.

Course Assessment

Students will sit several quizzes through the course and the final exam at the end of the training. Both quizzes and the exam will present as closed tests with a few open questions and cases to solve. Students who pass the exams successfully will be awarded certificates in recognition.

Over 7-year experience of working at BDO, specialized in audit of IFRS financial statements, performed in accordance with International Standards on Auditing as well as in transformation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IAS.

Student at and partially qualified (Fundamental Level) by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Glasgow, UK.
